Abstract:
PURPOSE: To perform sufficient processing for a random error as well as a burst error by providing a threshold setting means which changes and sets a threshold with which ADPCM data is substituted by an error signal.
CONSTITUTION: A threshold deciding block 3 inputs the error signal and sets the threshold outputted to a data substituting block 2 in accordance with the number of continuous error frames. The data substituting block 2 takes ADPCM reception data of a voice signal and the threshold as the input and substitutes data larger than this threshold with the threshold and outputs the result to an ADPCM decoder 4. An attenuator 10 allows the signal from the ADPCM decoder 4 to apply an attenuation processing by a prescribed level. The attenuation level of the attenuator 10 is controlled by the output of a level deciding block 12 and is changed an set by the error signal.
