Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve communication efficiency and to enhance a throughput characteristic by calculating an optimum solution of an item to be optimized of a communication system from the distribution of data length that occurs in a network through an arithmetic function and deciding data slot length.
SOLUTION: When data that is generated from a network is superimposed on a fixed length radio frame format and communication is performed, two kinds of data slots for the radio frame formats which are long and short slots are provided, long slot length is set to maximum data length that occurs on a protocol, and short slot length is r-byte and its number is N. Next, data occurrence distribution is measured and distribution is approximated by a probability density function, and after that, an evaluation item to be optimized is defined with the product of a transmission data number through short slots and a transmission data number through long slots as arithmetic functions Q (N and r) to calculate the best value, and radio data slot length is defined from an optimum solution to decide a radio frame format.
