Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily execute efficient data communication by transmitting a shift request to a base station so that a system shifts to a data communication mode and permitting the base station to set the base station to the data communication mode when it receives the shift request from a terminal.
SOLUTION: When the PHS terminal 3 is set in a charging stand 4, the data communication mode is set. In such a case, a control part bypasses a sound processing part and instructs the transfer of data with an outer unit 5 through the data interface of the charging stand 4 to the data interface. A mode switch request is transmitted to an independent base station 2-1. The independent base station 2-1 receives the mode switch request from the PHS terminal 3 and the sets the data communication mode when the request is the data communication mode. The control part bypasses the sound processing part and instructs the transfer of data with a communication line network 1-side to modem through a line interface.
