Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce data transmission reception time while suppressing occurrence of a data error in the case of data transmission reception by adopting the configuration of a control section controlling an interface section such that a transmission speed of data sent to an external device is set optionally.
CONSTITUTION: An infrared ray interface section 8 is connected to a CPU 2, which controls the interface section 8. The CPU 2 has a function in which a transmission speed of data extracted from an EEPROM 7 to an external device 10, that is, baud rate is changed optionally and a transmission drive circuit drives the infrared ray transmission section at the baud rate. Then data are sent from a receiver 100 to the external device 10 at a transmission speed and the external device 10 receives the data and checks the error and sends a reception disable signal to the receiver 100 when any error takes place. Upon the receipt of the reception disable signal, the receiver 100 reduces the transmission speed and sends the data again to the external device 10.
