Title:
RADIO SHELF LABEL DISPLAY CHANGE SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001005872
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electronic shelf label(ESL) system capable of eliminating the defect of communication with an ESL caused by the rearrangement of a shop or the like without increasing the number of transceivers.

This ESL system is provided with plural ESLs, an ESL server, a transceiver 13 and a repeater 15. The ESL is arranged close to an article and displays article information. The ESL server transmits the article information to the ESL and receives a reply. The transceiver fixed on the ceiling of the shop is interposed between the ESL server and the ESL and performs transmission/reception with the ESL by radio. The repeater 15 is temporarily installed in an area, where the ESL having the defect of communication with the transceiver is located after the transceiver is installed in the shop, and repeats the communication between the transceiver and the ESL.
