To provide a radio communication system including a plurality of mobile terminals alone, which can synchronize with all the terminals.
The radio terminal perform communication on a time-division connection basis and synchronizes its transmission/reception timing with timing of multiple radio terminals. An entire period, including fundamental periods corresponding to the number to the radio terminals included in the group, is determined, the terminal is controlled to transmit a signal in the fundamental period which is included in the entire period and is determined by a unique terminal number, given previously to each radio terminal. The terminal is controlled to receive a signal from another radio terminal in another fundamental period and adjust the transmission/reception timing, on the basis of data received in the fundamental period. The terminal holds the reception timing kept so far, until the terminal performs the transmission/reception timing adjustment operation.
