Title:
RADIO TRANSMISSION TAG READING APPARATUS
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2007004810
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a simply structured RF tag reading apparatus which can contain in its container multiple articles each with an RF tag installed and enhance reading efficiency of the RF tag by a single operation of reading.

An article container 1 contains a large number of postal envelopes 2 provided with RF tags 3 by stacking and arranging them. A reader antenna 9, which is connected to an interrogator 7 via a coaxial cable 8 is disposed under the article container 1. Maximum gain directions of the RF tags 3 of the respective postal envelopes 2 are uniformly directed to the reader antenna 9. The respective postal envelopes 2 contained in the article container 1 are arranged face to face with each other in a direction orthogonal to the maximum directions of the RF tags 3. Since a maximum gain direction of the reader antenna 9 is oriented toward a base end surface of the article container 1, the maximum gain directions of the RF tags 3 are opposed to the maximum gain direction of the reader antenna 9.
