To reduce the amount of control information for transmission when applying frequency selective precoding to a multi-carrier signal.
A radio transmitter divides a frequency signal into a plurality of clusters, arranges the divided clusters on a frequency axis, and multiplies a precoding matrix by each cluster arranged on the frequency axis. The radio transmitter restricts the number of precoding matrixes to be selected based on a relation between a precoding matrix multiplied by any of the clusters and a precoding matrix multiplied by another cluster. It also restricts the number of precoding matrixes to be selected, based on a relation between a precoding matrix multiplied by any one of the clusters and a precoding matrix multiplied by the adjacent other cluster. It also restricts the number of precoding matrixes to be selected according to frequency correlation between any one of the clusters and the adjacent other cluster.
