To provide a radio wave absorber which shows a superior absorption property with respect to both TE waves and TM waves even if they are incident aslant, and also to provide a radio frequency anechoic chamber using the same.
The radio wave absorber has such a structure that a lattice-like ferrite 5 is arranged in the lattice form as a magnetic loss object in front of a radio wave reflector 1. In the absorber, longitudinal spacing and lateral spacing of the lattice-like ferrite 5 are different, and space rates in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction of the lattice-like ferrite 5 are made different by making the width of TE waves large in the electric field direction while making that of TM waves large in the magnetic field direction. By spreading such a radio wave absorber over the ceiling plane and the side walls, the radio frequency anechoic chamber can be obtained with superior radio wave absorption property with respect to slant incidence of radio waves.
