Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop an absorber capable of enhancing uniformity of adherence of carbon and upgrading radio wave absorbing characteristics by utilizing a silica alumina fiber and a method for manufacturing it.
SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing a radio wave absorber comprises the steps of (a) preparing a solution obtained by mixing ceramic fiber of silica- alumina having a fiber length of 1 to 25 mm and a fiber size of 2 to 4 μm, (b) laminating the fiber and entangling by a suction molding machine having a form combined with a metal net shaped in the radio wave absorber and a frame wall and a suction pump so that its porosity becomes 85 to 97%, and (c) releasing the laminate from the machine, drying the laminate and adhering a carbon to the laminate.
