To provide a radio wave absorber which is made of a composition obtained by mixing a resin with carbon black and carbon fiber, thereby improving radio wave absorbing characteristics in an L-band and an S-band.
This radio wave absorber is made of a composition obtained by mixing a resin with carbon black and carbon fiber. As the resin, a resin having characteristics such as strength, heat resistance, and moldability according to use is used. For example, chloroprene rubber, acrylonitrile-butadiene rubber, silicone resin, and the like can be mentioned. As for the carbon fiber which is mixed as well as carbon black, it is desirable that the fiber length lies within a range from 1μm to 5mm and the fiber diameter lies within a range from 0.1 to 50μm. If the content of carbon black and carbon fiber is 50weight% or less or the total content is 80weight% or less, deterioration in flexibility and a problem that a crack occurs in a molded body can be avoided. Further, when a complex made of crystalline graphite and amorphous carbon black is used as carbon black, the thickness and the weight of the radio wave absorber can be reduced.
