To allow the one and same receiver to cope with revision of signal parameters of an object communication wave, a future communication system and reception and demodulation processing with respect to an unknown communication wave by integrating and miniaturizing the receiver receiving and demodulating a communication wave adopting a plurality of radio wave forms and easily revising functions and performance of the receiver.

The processing required for reception and demodulation of the receiver is realized by software processing and functions of each processing section being each component of the receiver are configured to be revision- controlled by an instruction from a control processing unit 7. Thus, the reception demodulation processing with respect to a communication wave adopting various radio wave forms in the single common hardware configuration is realized by revising a software program for an object communication wave. Furthermore, the receiver copes with even the revision of various parameters of the communication wave and appearance of a new communication system by revising/adding the software program.
