PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recovery method, from a raw material solution containing radioactive platinum group metal ions, capable of recovering a platinum group metal(s).SOLUTION: Provided is a method where, from a raw material solution containing radioactive platinum group metal ions, a radioactive platinum group metal(s) as the reduction body of the platinum group metal ions is recovered, comprising: a bio-treatment step where, in a reaction liquid including the raw material solution and at least one kind of microorganism selected from metal ion reduction bacteria and a ferment, the platinum group metal ions or the platinum group metal(s) are collected on the microorganism; a separation step where the microorganism after the bio-treatment step is separated from the reaction liquid; and a recovery step where the platinum group metal(s) is recovered from the microorganism.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
