To provide a radioactive iodine sampler that is maintained so that moisture absorption of an iodine collecting agent is small even when it is placed in a standby state for emergency for a long time, and prevents the reduction of the collecting efficiency, and to provide a radioactive iodine monitor.
This radioactive iodine sampler samples the environmental air in order to detect radiation released from radioactive iodine contained in the environmental air, and collects iodine or its compound in the sampled air into the collecting agent. The radioactive iodine sampler comprises an airtight storing means for storing the iodine collecting agent in the airtight state during standby, and a dehumidifying means for dehumidifying water vapor from the air in the space where the iodine collecting agent is stored.
