Abstract:

To obtain a radioactive isotope producing device capable of placing with an equipment for use on site, compact and low cost.

The device comprises a nuclear reaction part 30 whose inside is maintained in vacuum, a stuff material supplying part 20 for supplying this nuclear reaction part with a stuff material R consisting of nuclide necessary for producing radioactive isotopes, an optical system 10 producing radioactive isotopes by outputting pulse laser light to the stuff material R made in dispersed state while supplying to the nuclear reaction part 30 and causing nuclear reaction in the stuff material and producing radioactive isotopes, a produced nuclide recovery part 40 for recovering molecules P1 having atomic nucleuses of the radioactive isotopes produced from the nuclear reaction part 30, and a radiation shield system 50 for preventing the external leak of radiation generated in the nuclear reaction part 30. By this, the position of the reaction field of nuclear reaction can be fixed to a specific small region in the nuclear reaction part and the space necessary for the nuclear reaction can be drastically reduced.
