Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable an effective capture of radioactive substances, by providing an absorber filled part which is composed of an oxygen/hydrogen absorber, a radioactive corrosion products and a radioactive fission products absorber as a radioactive substances absorber, in a housing into which a coolant flows. CONSTITUTION:An absorber filling part 4 is fixed by screws to a lid of a housing into which a coolant flows. To this part 4, a stainless steel mesh 22, a nickel steel mesh 23 and a glassy carbon mesh 24 are arranged in turn from the outside. And when the coolant passes through the part 4 from its outside to its center part, impurities such as an oxygen and a hydrogen are deposited and absorbed on the mesh 22 in the first place, and radioactive corrosion products contained in the coolant are deposited and absorbed on the mesh 23 then radioactive fission products contained in the coolant are deposited and absorbed on the mesh 24. The coolant purified by passing through the part is discharged to outside the housing via an outlet nozzle 13. Through these procedures, radioactive substances are effectively captured.
