Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a system and a method for removing radioactive particles in fluid capable of: securing safety by measuring radiation; and collecting particles from treat water containing those which have been unable to be separated through filtering.SOLUTION: In a method for removing radioactive particles in fluid, radioactive particles 5 which pass through a metal mesh 10 used as a filter is collected in a manner that agglomerates the same with an agglomerating agent 4 and settles agglomerated particles on a bottom section of an agglomeration water separation device 3. When radiation detected through a neutron measuring device 1 and a gamma-ray camera 2 exceeds a predetermined level, water circulation in a pressure vessel 8 is stopped and, then, residual water in the agglomeration water separation device 3 is returned to the pressure vessel 8. By reducing an amount of the residual water in the agglomeration water separation device 3, the method facilitates a treatment of the radioactive particles 5 stored in the agglomeration water separation device 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
