PURPOSE: To make a device compact and to improve light condensing efficiency by mutually attaching an accumulable phosphor panel and fluorescent condensing sheet.
CONSTITUTION: The horizontally extending accumulable phosphor panel 11 is arranged in an almost central part of a radiograph reader 10, and the fluorescent condensing sheets 12 and 13 are closely placed on the top and bottom of the accumulable phosphor panel 11, respectively. For an adhesive used for bonding them, material of a lower refraction factor than that of the fluorescent condensing sheets 12 and 13 is employed so that stimulated luminous light is made incident on the fluorescent condensing sheets 12 and 13. Since the fluorescent condensing sheets are closely bonded with the accumulable phosphor panel 11, a wasteful space is eliminated to make the overall reader compact. Moreover, light condensing efficiency is improved.
