Title:
RADIOTELEPHONE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08251656
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mobile telephone which effectively and also actively calibrates a dormant clock. SOLUTION: A mobile telephone has a high frequency system clock 41 and a processor 61 which processes a polling signal that is received while the telephone is in its waiting state. When a polling signal is not received it is set to a dormant state by stopping the system clock. Reactivation is generated in accordance with a clock cycle of a calibrated number that is produced by a low frequency dormant clock 65. System clock counters 43 and 44 which specify a subframe period and a frame period through reactivation are reloaded to be reactivated in phase in which they are requested. The phases of these counters are changed to a system count as they are compared with a signal that is received from a base station and requester. They are also used to recalibrate a dormant clock to the extent that change is needed.
