Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To monitor treatment conditions in real time without being hindered with a radiation irradiating head by virtue of a real-time imager operating in association with the radiation irradiating head, even when a treatment field moves in radiotherapy.
SOLUTION: The subject radiotherapy system used is provided with the radiation irradiating head 10, an X-ray source 77 and a sensor array 78, where the radiation irradiating head 10 emits treatment radiation 3a to the affected part 5 of a patient 4. The X-ray source 77 irradiates diagnostic X rays 3b to the affected part 5 of the patient 4. The sensor array 78 detects the transmitted diagnostic X rays 3b having transmitted the patient 4 and outputs them as diagnosing image data. The sensor array 78 and X-ray source 77 move by following the movements of the radiation irradiating head 10.
