Title:
RADOME AND FLYING OBJECT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2011041130
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
To solve the problems that, when a metal chip having shock resistance is embedded in a distal end of a radome, antenna radiation characteristics inside the radome may be deteriorated by effects of reflection in the metal chip, an antenna gain may be reduced and a side lobe level may be increased.
The present invention relates to a radome provided in a flying object, comprising: a radome body constituted of a dielectric body or a honeycomb sandwiching structure holding a honeycomb body between dielectric bodies; a metal piece mounted in a distal end portion of the radome body throughout the radome body; and a radio wave absorber mounted in the metal piece exposed inside the radome body.
