To provide a rail cutting tool capable of cutting a rail of an aluminum sash frame with less labor in a short period of time without causing noise and dust.
This rail cutting tool is provided with a body section 2 with a cutting member 3 with a cutting surface 301 contacted with one side surface of a rail and a nipping member 4 for nipping the rail together with the cutting surface 301, which forms a nipping groove 401 in which the rail is fitted between itself and the cutting surface 301 while being consecutively provided in a part of the cutting surface 301 in the cutting member 3, and a handle 5 consecutively provided in the cutting member 3 in a direction substantially orthogonal to the cutting surface 301. While the rail is nipped between the cutting surface 301 and the nipping section 4, the handle is pulled to the near side or pushed forward in a manner depicting a circular arc, thereby giving shear stress throughout a section of the rail face-contacted with the cutting surface 301 to cut the section all together.
