Abstract:
To reduce load on a track maintenance worker by eliminating the need for a generator for drilling a rail in a track maintenance site, eliminating noise problem caused by a generator, reducing the risk of health damage of a worker, caused by production of exhaust gas of a generator in a tunnel, and reducing an amount of objects to be carried.SOLUTION: A rail drill machine comprises: a rail clamp mechanism unit 11 that clamps a rail R; a drilling mechanism unit 12 that drills the rail R; and a slide mechanism unit 13 that slides the drilling mechanism unit 12 toward the rail R. The drilling mechanism unit 12 comprises: a DC motor 12a that rotates a rotary shaft 12a1 by DC current from a battery 14 mounted in a drilling mechanism unit body 12c; a decelerator 12b that decelerates rotation of the rotary shaft 12a1 of the DC motor 12a; and a main shaft 12d that is rotated by the DC motor 12a via the decelerator 12b, thereby drilling the rail R with the drilling cutter 12d1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
