Abstract:
To provide a rail unevenness measuring method which synchronizes a position of the unevenness arising in a rail head with the position along the rail to obtain the same.SOLUTION: The rail unevenness measuring method uses the rail unevenness measuring apparatus which measures an unevenness position and shape arising in the rail head within a predetermined section of the installed rail, by connecting a main measurement unit and a support unit which are given on a pair of rails respectively by a connecting mechanism ranging over between the rails and moving them on the rails by wheels contained therein respectively. The main measurement unit includes height position measurement means which measures the height position of the rail head at the lower part; moving length measurement means which measures a moving length along the rail of the height position measurement means; and reference position detection means which detects whether the height position measurement means is at a prescribed position within the predetermined section, and synchronizes the unevenness position with the position along the rail.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
