Abstract:
To provide a railway vehicle that more easily alerts a passenger who is about to get on the railway vehicle about whether or not there is a gap or a step between the floor surface of a platform in a station and the lower end of a doorway of the railway vehicle, and which enables the passenger who is about to get on the railway to more easily comprehend a positional relationship between the floor surface of the platform in the station and the lower end of the doorway of the railway vehicle.SOLUTION: In a railway vehicle 1 in which doors 4 are disposed at a doorway 3 of a vehicle body, an outer surface light part 5 below the doorway 3 in an outer surface 2 lights or flashes when the doorway 3 is opened/closed by the doors 4, and the outer surface light part 5 emits light to a side of the vehicle body. Therefore, compared with a case where light is emitted upward from a door sill, the railway vehicle 1 easily alerts a passenger who is about to get on the railway vehicle about whether or not there is a gap or a step between the floor surface of a platform 100 in a station and the lower end of the doorway 3 of the railway vehicle when the doorway 3 is opened/closed, and enables the passenger who is about to get on the railway to more easily comprehend a positional relationship between the floor surface of the platform 100 in the station and the lower end of the doorway 3 of the railway vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
