Title:
RAILWAY ELECTRIFICATION CURVED TRACK
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH04136301
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the electrical conductivity of railway tracks and prevent the occurrence of a signal trouble by restraining a difference in electrical resistance value between an inner track and an outer track, and using a rail of high abrasion resistance for the outer track.

CONSTITUTION: A conventional carbon steel rail is used for an inner track, and a high-strength low alloy steel rail of abrasion resistance is used for an outer track. In addition, a difference in an electrical resistance value between the conventional carbon steel rail for the inner track and the high-strength low alloy steel of abrasion resistance for the outer track is restrained within an increase of 10%, thereby preventing the occurrence of an impedance bond imbalance and eliminating an error for causing an unnecessary stop signal. According to the aforesaid construction, railway electrification curved tracks of long lifetime can be obtained without causing an error in impedance bond.
