Abstract:
To provide a railway vehicle body structure and a manufacturing method for the same by which not only manufacturing efficiency of a top vehicle is improved, but also safety of the vehicle from a collision is secured.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle body structure 1 comprises a body part 3 in which a vehicle body structure 13 including a side body structure 11 is formed on a frame 14, and a beginning part 4 which is joined to a vehicle front end part of the body part 3 and constitutes a driving cab R by a joint with the body part 3. The frame 14 of the body part 3 has a pocket 16 into which a column can be inserted. The beginning part 4 has a collision column 22 extending in a vehicle height direction in a vehicle front end side of the driving cab R, and is fixed to the body part 3 with bolts in a condition that the collision column 22 are inserted in the pocket 16.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
