Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a railway vehicle capable of strongly fixing a follower plate lug applied with a compression load and a tensile load, which are transmitted through a coupler from other railway vehicle, to a middle beam even though the follower plate lug has a light and simple structure.SOLUTION: A railway vehicle includes a middle beam 33, follower plate lugs 41, 51, and fixing members 42, 52. The follower plate lugs 41, 51 respectively have a plate-like shape and include first end parts 41a, 51a at vehicle end sides jointed with the middle beam 33 by welding and second end parts 41b, 51b positioned closer to a vehicle body center opposite to the first end parts 41a, 51a while sandwiching a shock absorber therebetween so as to transmit a force from the coupler to an underframe through the shock absorber and follower plates. The fixing members 42, 52 joint the second end parts 41b, 51b of the follower plate lugs 41, 51 and the middle beam 33 by welding and have inclined surfaces 42a, 52a that approach the middle beam 33 as separating from the follower plate lugs 41, 51.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
