PURPOSE: To provide a simple and low-cost water intake device which uses an existing rainwater gutter. by outdoors installing a vertical rainwater conduit upright for gathering the rainwater on the roof and leading downward, connecting a rainwater storage tank with the vertical conduit, and connecting an overflow pipe with the upper part of the storage tank.
CONSTITUTION: A rainwater gutter 2 is installed at the eave tip of the roof 1 of a house A, and close to the house A a vertical conduit 3 is upright installed for gathering rainwater from the gutter 2 and leading downward. The vertical conduit 3 is connected with a rainwater storage tank 4 as an intake device for rainwater. One end of an overflow pipe 5 is connected with the top of the storage tank 4, and the other end is led to a drainage ditch 6. When the tank 4 becomes full, the overflowing water is discharged to the drainage ditch 6 via the overflow pipe 5. This allows constructing a rainwater intake device at low cost, which can well be used in sprinkling in a garden, car washing, etc.
