PURPOSE: To obtain the subject fabric excellent in raising and napping properties and having good feeling of triacetate touch by raising a polyester fiber having a specific Young's modulus and a specified birefringence ratio.
CONSTITUTION: This raised fabric preferably a tricot knitted fabric is obtained by raising a polyester fiber having 900-1,100 kg/mm2 Young's modulus, 0.1-0.14 birefringence ratio (Δn) and ≥0.008 δΔn. For example, the single filament fineness of the polyester fiber is preferably 0.5-3 denier and the polyester fiber is preferably obtained by blowing quench air at 6-7 Nm3/min rate under a spinneret by 4.5-60 cm, quenching the resultant filaments, then taking off the filaments at ≥4,500 m/min speed and continuously drawing the taken off filaments at ≥1.1 times.
