PURPOSE: To obtain a cashmerelike reaised sheet having proper elasticity and a profound feeling by a method wherein a raised sheet forming fiber is formed from an acrylic fiber having specific values in filament finness, tensile elongation and strength and amino modified silicone is applied to the surface of the raised sheet forming fiber to set the bending hardness and compression work recovery of said fiber to specific values.

CONSTITUTION: A raised sheet forming fiber does not substantially enter the structure of a hard twist knitted fabric but pierces the interstices of the structure of the hard twist knitted fabric to be integrally entangled with the structure and is provided in such a state that a polymeric elastomer is not substantially present in the gaps of the constitutional unit yarns of the hard twist knitted fabric. The raised sheet forming fiber is composed of an acrylic fiber with monofilament finness of 0.3-2 denier, tensile elongation of 30% or more and strength of 3g/d or more and amino modified silicone and/or epoxy modified silicone is applied to the surface of the raised sheet forming fiber and the bending hardness based on a KEG touch measuring method of the fiber is set to 0.15g/cm.deg or less in both of warp and weft yarns and the compression work recovery thereof is set to 40% or more.
