To provide a range hood device capable of surely securing a specific function relating to sucking/discharging of a discharged object while having characteristic designability.
In a range hood device 1 including a hood 2 and a sucking section 3 positioned inside of the hood and sucking/discharging smoke or other discharged objects while inducing the same to the inside of the hood 2 by the sucking section 3, the hood 2 has a shape of an inverted container and has such a downwardly narrowed configuration that a diameter of the hood 2 becomes maximum at its intermediate section 2c in proceeding from an apex section 2a toward a lower side thereof and the diameter of the hood 2 at a lower region with respect to the maximum diameter section is reduced narrower to a lower end opening, the sucking section 3 is positioned at a central section of the hood 2, and a circular space 20 for guiding the discharged object such as smoke is formed between the sucking section 3 and the hood 2.
