Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Rankine cycle device capable of protecting a low pressure-side circuit without problems, even when defective cooling of a condenser occurs in starting.SOLUTION: A Rankine cycle device 1 includes: a bypass circuit 14 and a bypass valve 16 bypassing an expander 4; a high pressure-side pressure sensor 17 detecting a high pressure-side pressure; and a control device. The control device: opens the bypass valve in starting; closes the same after completion of start preparation; stops an operation when the high pressure-side pressure becomes higher than a prescribed upper limit value on the basis of an output of the high pressure-side pressure sensor; applies an upper limit value as a prescribed ordinary upper limit value PH when the bypass valve is closed; and changes the upper limit value to a prescribed start-time upper limit value PL lower than the ordinary upper limit value PH when the bypass valve is opened.
