Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Rankine cycle engine capable of preventing a failure of an expander.SOLUTION: A Rankine cycle engine 1 including: an evaporator 10; an expander 11; a condenser 12; and a pump 13, comprises a gas-liquid separator 14 provided between the evaporator 10 and the expander 11, and separating a working medium emitted from the evaporator 10 into gas and liquid, the gaseous working medium separated by the gas-liquid separator 14 being supplied to the expander 11; and an ejector 15 provided between the evaporator 10 and the pump 13. Preferably, the liquid working fluid separated by the gas-liquid separator 14 and the working medium from the pump 13 are supplied to the ejector 15, thereby returning the liquid working fluid separated by the gas-liquid separator 14 between the evaporator 10 and the pump 13.
