Title:
RARE EARTH BASED RESIN MAGNET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH01125906
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain rare earth resin magnets having excellent heat resistance and low magnetic field magnetization by using a specific composition of ferromagnetic powder and nylon 46 and specifying the compounding ratio of the two. CONSTITUTION:Ferromagnetic powder having low magnetic field magnetization obtained by blowing a high-pressure inactive gas to a melt of a rare earth element-transition metal element-boron based alloy and letting it to cool quickly, and nylon 46 are compounded at a ratio of 80:20-95:5 (weight ratio). If the compounding ratio is smaller than 80/20, the occupancy ratio of ferromagnetic powder is small, causing insufficient magnetic characteristics. If it is larger than 95/5, a forming process to form a raw material compound into a resin magnet becomes difficult, and an obtained resin magnet is fragile. Obtained rare earth based resin magnets have excellent heat resistance and desired magnetic characteristics of permanent magnets such as high coercive force and moreover are excellent in low magnetic field magnetization.
