Abstract:
To provide a method of producing an Sm-Fe-N based rare earth magnet in which excellent coercive force and residual magnetization can be obtained even if sintered at a relatively low pressure.SOLUTION: A method of producing a rare earth magnet includes the steps of: obtaining mixed powder by mixing the magnetic material raw material powder containing Sm, Fe, and N, and the modifying material powder containing at least one of metal Zn and Zn alloy; obtaining a pressurized powder body by performing compression molding on the mixed powder; obtaining a sintered body by performing pressure sintering on the pressurized powder body at a temperature of 300 to 400°C and a pressure of 0.80 to 1.80 GPa; and performing heat treatment on the sintered body at a temperature of 425 to 500°C.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
