Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of rare-earth permanent magnet capable of diffusing heavy rare earth elements uniformly into a magnet base material.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of rare-earth permanent magnet includes an adhesion process of adhering heavy rare-earth elements to the surface 2s of a magnet 2, and a diffusion process of diffusing the heavy rare-earth elements into the magnet 2, by heating the magnet 2 to which the heavy rare-earth elements are adhering. The adhesion process includes a patterning step of forming a prescribed pattern 4 composed of a coating component 4a containing the heavy rare-earth elements on the surface of a plate 6, a first transfer step of transferring the pattern 4 from the plate 6 to the surface 8s of a transfer member 8, by bringing the elastic transfer member 8 into contact with the plate 6, and a second transfer step of transferring the pattern 4 from the transfer member 8 to the surface 2s of the magnet 2, by bringing the transfer member 8 to which the pattern 4 is transferred into contact with the magnet 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
