Abstract:
To provide a rare earth sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet that attains excellent balance between coercive force and residual magnetism and also has a low residual magnetic flux density temperature coefficient and coercive force temperature coefficient, and a method of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: A rare earth sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet has an element composition represented as (R1, R2)-T-B-M, and the rare earth sintered Nd-Fe-B magnet is made of a sintered containing main phase crystal grains and a grain boundary phase, wherein: the main phase crystal grains are made of an (R1, R2)2T14B phase; a Pr density C1 of an edge of the main phase crystal grains is higher than a Pr density C2 in the center of the main phase crystal grains; an R1 density of the grain boundary phase is higher than an R1 density of the main phase crystal grains; and an average thickness of the grain boundary phase is 20 to 60 nm. Here, R1 is selected between Nd and Gd, R2 is Pr, T is selected out of Fe, Co and Ni elements, and M is selected out of Al, Cu, Ga, Zn, Bi, Zr, Ti, Nb, V, Mo, and W.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
