Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for recovering rare metals, which does not use molten salt, which requires a less energy cost than before, whose impurity content is small, and which has high electrolysis efficiency, and to provide a device for recovering rare metals.SOLUTION: The method for recovering rare metals includes: an electrolysis step of applying a voltage between both electrodes of a cathode 12 and an anode 13 to electrolyze a rare metal solution 16 containing a rare metal ion and depositing a deposition 14 containing the rare metal ion having the form of at least one of a rare metal and a rare metal oxide on the electrode; a deposition collecting step of collecting the deposition 14 that is deposited in the electrolysis step; and a hydrogen reduction step of reducing the deposition 14 collected in the deposition collecting step to a metal by using hydrogen.
