Abstract:
To provide a ratchet-type tensioner in which a ratchet mechanism composed of a plunger and a ratchet is reliably and stably operated without malfunctioning thereof, fluttering sound is reduced, and the seizure of the plunger is prevented.
In the ratchet-type tensioner 100, an engagement matching mechanism in which a ratchet teeth 151 of the ratchet 150 is engaged with a rack teeth 122 on a plunger side surface over the entire area of the teeth width without twisting is configured while the outer peripheral surface of the ratchet 150 is prevented from rotation with respect to the inner peripheral surface of a ratchet storing hole 113.
