Abstract:
To provide a raw material charging method for charging coke into a central portion of a blast furnace capable of securing a mountain height of centrally charged coke while reducing an amount of the centrally charged coke by using a charging chute 7 that can reduce drop impact of raw material and suppress an occurrence of accumulation inside thereof.SOLUTION: In the raw material charging method according to the present invention for charging coke 9 into a central portion of a blast furnace 1 in which coke 9 and ore 8 are charged in layers, the charging chute 7 has a shape obtained by combining a cone portion 7a of an inverted taper shape and a cylindrical portion 7b of a straight shape, and a feed rate V of the coke 9 per unit time is adjusted so as to be a cylindrical portion resistance L/S(/m)=12.3 or more, which indicates a relation between a length L and a sectional area S of the cylindrical portion 7b, and L/S+0.105V=26.7 or less, which indicates a relation between the feed rate V(kg/sec) of the coke 9 per unit time and the cylindrical portion resistance L/S, when an average particle diameter of the coke 9 is 43 to 58 mm, the length of the cylindrical portion 7b is L(m), and the sectional area is S(m).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
