To provide a raw refuse processing apparatus which decomposes raw refuse with small power consumption and carries out operational control so that the amount of the moisture in the generated basic material is maintained at a proper value by evaluating the state of the raw refuse on the basis of information from a heating temperature control means.
The raw refuse is charged into a processing drum 3. Immediately after the charging, a fundamental material, the raw refuse and air are stirred and mixed. When this mixture is heated, the time from an ON operation and then of a heating means, a subsequent OFF operation to a second ON operation (T) is measured. By stopping heating at the moment when the value of T at the time the temporal change of T turns towards reduction becomes smaller than the value Ts set beforehand, raw refuse decomposition can be carried out with small power consumption. Since the judgment of the termination of the decomposition processing mode is performed using the control information of the heating means, no special hardware is necessary.
