Abstract:
To provide a re-recordable recording medium, a recording/reproducing method, a recording/reproducing apparatus and a sync detection apparatus.
Data signals having a VFO signal part and a data signal part are recorded onto the re-recordable recording medium. The VFO signal part includes an indicator having a pattern that is distinguishable from a pattern used in the VFO signal part at a predetermined position of the VFO signal part. Thus, even though a linking region generated in the re-recordable medium is variable, the position of a following frame can be predicted, restoration of a sync pattern is made possible and stability of the system is improved.
