Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a reach type forklift which allows an extremely small width of straddle arm to support right and left load wheels in a steering allowable manner.
CONSTITUTION: Steering allowable load wheels 12L are provided near the ends of a straddle arm 40 and grooves 38, 39 in two upper and lower steps are provided inside the straddle arm 40. The lower groove 39 is cut out not to interfere with the load wheels 12L when steered, and the upper groove 38 is mounted with a roller on the front side of a carriage to support a mast so that a rear roller can roll the lower groove 39. The arrangement position of the load wheel can be designed to eliminate the usual restriction of a guide rail member of a handling tool and the width of the straddle arm can be made smaller.
