PURPOSE: To perform efficient heat exchange by installing an exothermic reaction chamber and an endothermic reaction chamber separated by a heat- conductive separation wall having a catalyst for the exothermic reaction deposited on one surface of the separation wall and a catalyst for the endothermic reaction deposited on another surface of the separation wall.
CONSTITUTION: At least one exothermic reaction chamber 5 and at least one endothermic reaction chamber 3 are installed by separating two chambers with heat-conducting separating walls 7 where a catalyst for the exothermic reaction is deposited on one surface and a catalyst for the endothermic reaction is deposited on another surface of the separating wall. In this reaction tube, the heat generated by the exothermic reaction is conducted almost directly to the endothermic reaction chamber through one separating wall. Accordingly, extremely efficient heat exchange is performed.
