Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of continuously synthesizing an optically active anti-1,2-nitroalkanol compound highly anti-selectively with a very high asymmetric yield.SOLUTION: In a method for producing an optically active anti-1,2-nitroalkanol compound, a raw material mixture comprising an aldehyde compound such as 3-methoxy benzaldehyde, a nitroalkane compound having 2 or more carbon atoms such as nitroethane, and a catalyst obtained by mixing an optically active amide compound represented by structural formula (1), a neodymium-containing compound, a sodium-containing compound, and a carbon structure is continuously supplied to a reaction vessel 5, and the produced optically active anti-1,2-nitroalkanol compound is continuously extracted from the reaction vessel 5.
