Abstract:

To obtain a reactive liquid crystal composition capable of easily carrying out a viscosity control and polymerization or cross-linking reaction control and excellent in productivity, solvent resistance and weatherability, a paint film expressing interference colors, and particles of a liquid crystal interference pigment prepared by pulverizing the aforesaid liquid composition.

This reactive liquid crystal composition contains a polysaccharide (A) having reactive functional groups and a diluent (B) having a reactive functional group, expresses interference colors by orientation and is capable of fixing the interference colors by a reaction after the orientation. The paint film and liquid crystal interference pigment particles comprise the aforesaid composition. And also a method for producing thereof is claimed.
