Title:
REACTIVE POWER-COMPENSATING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3684928
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly compensate voltage unbalance of a power system by simultaneously shifting the ignition angle of at least two layers of a thyristor within a first range, and by minimizing an unbalance rate.
SOLUTION: In the reactive power-compensating device, when a thyristor is not allowed to conduct electricity, current flows merely in the serial circuit of reactors SR1 and SR2 and a capacitor SC, and a lead of 100% is generated. When the thyristor is allowed to fully conduct electricity, a large delay current flows in the path of the reactors SR1 and SRth, the terminal voltage of the capacitor is divided by the SR1 and SRth for dropping, thus reducing the lead current, and generating a delay of 100% by subtracted capacity. A thyristor 5 for connecting phases is controlled by a control means 4, thus simultaneously shifting at least two phases of the plurality of thyristors, and hence greatly compensating for the voltage unbalance of a power system.
