To provide a reactive resin composition capable of forming a rib or a spacer into a desired shape and superior in electric characteristics such as voltage holding rate, residual electric potential, and electric capacity, and to solve the problems such as uneven display or after images by preventing adverse effect on a liquid crystal layer when the rib or the spacer of an LCD is formed using the same.

The reactive resin composition for forming liquid crystal orientation control protrusion, for forming the spacer, or for simultaneously forming the spacer and the liquid crystal orientation control protrusion includes, as constituent components, (A) and (B) as described below: (A) a resin having a condensate of a biphenyl compound and phenols at a skeleton; and (B) a photopolymerization initiator and/or a photoacid generator. A color filter and an image display device include the liquid crystal orientation control protrusion and/or the spacer formed by using the reactive resin composition.
