Abstract:
To provide a safety reactor that can prevent the formation of detonating gas when a water-immiscible raw material such as petroleum is allowed to react with a gas such as oxygen by using a biocatalyst.
In the feed of oxygen to the reaction mixture comprising a water-immiscible raw material and an aqueous solution, a gas-liquid exchanger 10 made of a water-impermeable material (for example, a gas-liquid exchanging tube) is used to inhibit the formation of a detonating gas, while the biological reaction is operated.
